Question: Has anybody heard the scoop on the Lawrence U. post-doc fellowships? Is there a slot reserved for Classics, or is it a humanities-wide position?
There is not a slot reserved for classicists specifically, but the faculty fellows committee is seriously considering a couple applications; decisions will be made in the next couple of weeks.

A: Yes, Bryn Mawr has invited three finalists to campus (3/12/07)
Question: Does anyone know what the story is with the ancient studies position at George Washington U? I just got a letter of rejection saying that they hired Eric Cline. Isn't he already the chair of the department there? They hired somebody already in a tenured position there? Huh?
Now that the new job season has started, perhaps people could start posting the names of places with vacancies, the general field and the deadline. Could be useful since not all jobs are advertised with the APA.
